YP (Yeast Peptone) Agar Base is a solid medium for the cultivation of yeast in molecular microbiology procedures. Peptone and Yeast Extract provide all the nutrients required for yeast growth: amino acids, peptides, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Agar is the gelifying agent.
