Olympus Plastics sterile culture tubes come with 2-position caps for aerobic or anaerobic closing, and are precision-molded from premium grade virgin polypropylene or polystyrene. Polystyrene tubes are transparent whereas polypropylene tubes are opaque and break-resistant.
12x75mm polystyrene tubes can withstand centrifugation up to 1400 x g and temperature at 80°C; polypropylene tubes can withstand 3000 x g and 120°C. 17x100mm polystyrene tubes can withstand centrifugation up to 3000 x g and temperature at 80°C.
