Motility Test Medium

Motility Test Medium is used for differentiating microorganisms based on their motility due to the presence of low Agar concentrations. Motile bacteria will diffuse from the line of inoculation, while non-motile organisms will only grow along this area. Enzymatic Digests of Gelatin and Beef Extract provide the main nutrients essential to bacterial growth: amino acids, peptides, carbohydrates, vitamins, and electrolytes. Sodium Chloride maintains osmotic balance.
