Product Overview
- Apex Hot Start Master Mix, Blue, 1.5mM MgCl2 (Final Conc.) with Ammonium Buffer that promotes robust amplification, high yield and high specificity
- Optimized Mix - just add template, primers and water, and conveniently set up reactions at room temperature
- Includes chemically modified hot start version of Apex Taq DNA Polymerase - promotes increased sensitivity, specificity and product yield
- Diminishes the formation of non-specific priming events - suitable for low abundance targets, screening, GC-rich sequences and multiplex PCR
- Reliably processes up to 5kb with high product yield, exhibits 5' to 3 exonuclease activity and leaves a 3'dA overhang
- Same as clear version, but with an inert blue dye and stabilizer that allows direct-to-gel analysis after amplification and easy pipetting
- Dye front runs at 100-500 bp (0.5 -1.5 % agarose gel). PCR products can be used for sequencing after PCR Clean-up

Detailed Description
Apex Hot Start Master Mix BLUE is a ready-to-use 2.0X master mix. Simply add primers, template, and water to successfully carry out primer extensions and other molecular biology applications. Apex Hot Start DNA Polymerase is a modified form of Taq DNA Polymerase, which is activated by heat treatment. A chemical moiety is attached to the enzyme at the active site, which renders the enzyme inactive at room temperature. Apex Hot Start DNA Polymerase, ammonium buffer system, dNTPs and magnesium chloride are present in Apex Hot Start Master Mix with Apex Buffer I. Each reaction requires 25uL of the 2.0X reaction mix.
