Sabouraud Dextrose Broth is a liquid medium used for the cultivation of dermatophytes and both pathogenic and non-pathogenic yeasts and molds. Enzymatic Digests of Casein and Animal Tissue provide nitrogenous compounds. Dextrose is the fermentable carbohydrate and inhibits bacterial growth due to its high concentration.
