Product Overview
- 15 mL container (prefilled with 9 mL DNA/RNA Shield™) for the direct collection of up to 1 gram and/or 1 ml stool.
- Collection spoon is included in the container screwcap.
- Preserves genetic integrity and expression profiles of samples (cells, tissues, blood, plasma, serum, saliva, urine, feces etc.) at ambient temperatur
- DNA and RNA can be isolated directly without precipitation or reagent removal (compatible with most DNA and RNA purification kits).
- Inactivates infectious agents (virus).

DNA/RNA Shield Fecal Collection Tubes - These stool collection tubes take a microbial snapshot of a sample while inactivating viruses making samples safe and ready for transport. Samples stored in the these stool collection tubes are stable at ambient temperature, and can be frozen for longer-term storage. Simply collect a spoonful of the specimen into the stool collection tubes prefilled with preservative and shake vigorously to ensure proper stabilization.. The DX version is a specimen receptacle medical device for molecular-based in vitro diagnostic applications.
