The Z446 universal centrifuges offer the largest capacity out of any Hermle-Benchmark benchtop model holding up to 28 x 50ml tubes, 68 x 15ml tubes and 20 x microplates. Constructed of air-craft grade premium alloy, its 4 x 750ml swing out rotor can be fully loaded and withstand centrifugal forces of 4,500 x g. Exchanging rotors is simple and requires less than one minute. An included rotor wrench can be used to loosen and install all rotors. Once the rotor is installed, the automatic recognition feature will convert the rotational speed to the relevant g-force (rcf) of the installed rotor. Sophisticated microprocessor controls feature advanced settings such as program storage, adjustable acceleration/deceleration rates and an end of run alarm tone. Additional safety measures are incorporated into the tabletop centrifuges including over speed protection and imbalance sensors.
