Glutamine XL is a chemically stable dipeptide useful as a cell culture media supplement as a replacement for unstable solutions of L-Glutamine.
The incorporated L-alanine protects the unstable alpha amino acid group of L-glutamine. Aminopeptidase within the cells cleaves the dipeptide, gradually releasing both L-glutamine and L- alanine for use by the cell.
