Nutrient Agar

Nutrient Broth is a liquid medium used for the enumeration, isolation and enrichment of fastidious bacteria. Peptone and Yeast Extract provide amino acids, peptides, carbohydrates, vitamins and electrolytes for bacterial growth. Glucose is the fermentable carbohydrate. Sodium Chloride supplies essential electrolytes and maintains osmotic equilibrium.
