Detailed Description
Heart Infusion Broth is a rich liquid medium used for the cultivation of fastidious microorganisms. Beef Heart Infusion and Proteose Peptone provide sources of carbon, nitrogen and vitamins. Dextrose is the fermentable carbohydrate. Sodium Chloride supplies essential electrolytes and maintains the osmotic equilibrium. Disodium Phosphate serves as pH buffer.
