Nitric Acid, 90 Percent, Reagent, ACS is a strong and highly corrosive mineral acid referred to as "strong nitric acid". Primarily used as a reagent, the pure compound is colorless and used for nitration, typically to an organic molecule. It is also used as a strong oxidizing agent due to its corrosive properties.
