IMDM (Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium) is a highly enriched form of DMEM. Iscove and colleagues modified DMEM with the addtion of HEPES buffer, selenium, additional amino acids, vitamins, sodium pyruvate, and potassium nitrate instead of ferric nitrate.
Applications: Highly enriched synthetic media well suited for rapidly poliferating, high-density cell culture. Use IMDM to replace serum-containing medium.
